ASREC 2024

The ASREC Graduate and ASREC 2024 (Association for the Study of Religion, Economics, and Culture) conferences were a great success with 80 speakers from more than 35 countries. The organizers of the conference, which took place in Thessaloniki on September 19-21, Professors Anastasia Litina and Lefteris Filippiadis from the University of Macedonia and Skerdi Zanaj, professor at the University of Luxembourg, would like to express our sincere thanks to all those who contributed to its successful organization.

The conference was hosted in the historical place of the War Museum of Thessaloniki and we would like to thank the director of the museum, Colonel Athanasios Papathanasiou, Lieutenant Colonel Theodoros Kinalis, Major Marianna Akrida of the Infantry, the soldiers performing their service and all the staff of the museum for their excellent hospitality and support. We would also like to make special mention of the excellent facilities of the museum and the surrounding area.

Special thanks to the University Research Institute (U.R.I.) of the University of Macedonia and to Mrs. Daphne Koukoutsi for her valuable support. We also thank the Rectorate, the Department of International and Public Relations, as well as the Technical Support Department of the CPS, with special mention to Mr. Lazaros Seremetidis and Mr. Stathis Tsakidis for their excellent technical support throughout the conference.

We would also like to thank the Research Committee of UOM for the financial support of the conference and Gutenberg Publications for their sponsorship. Also, the Municipality of Thessaloniki for the provision of material and the Department of Economics for the administrative support of the conference.

Finally, we thank the ASREC Association and Mr. Charles Martinez for the excellent cooperation, Professor Laurence Iannaccone, Director of the Institute, who honored us with his presence, as well as the renowned keynote speakers Jörg Baten (University of Tübingen) and Romain Wacziarg (UCLA Anderson School of Management).

 

Last but not least, a great thank you is directed to all the attendees and participants who attended and contributed to the interesting discussions and presentations during the conference.

Ευχαριστίες για το ASREC 2024

​

Με μεγάλη επιτυχία ολοκληρώθηκαν τα συνέδρια ASREC Graduate και ASREC 2024 (Association for the Study of Religion, Economics, and Culture) με 80 ομιλητές/τριες από περισσότερες από 35 χώρες. Τα μέλη της οργανωτικής επιτροπής του συνεδρίου, που πραγματοποιήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη το διάστημα/από 19 έως 21 Σεπτεμβρίου 2024, οι καθηγητές του τμήματος Οικονομικής Επιστήμης του Πανεπιστημίου Μακεδονίας Αναστασία Λίτινα και Λευτέρης Φιλιππιάδης και η καθηγήτρια του Πανεπιστημίου του Λουκεμβουργου Skerdi Zanaj, θα θέλαμε να εκφράσουμε τις θερμές μας ευχαριστίες προς όλους/όλες όσους/όσες συνέβαλαν στην επιτυχημένη διεξαγωγή του.

​

Το συνέδριο φιλοξενήθηκε στον ιστορικό χώρο του Πολεμικού Μουσείου Θεσσαλονίκης και ευχαριστούμε θερμά τον διευθυντή, Συνταγματάρχη Πυροβολικού κύριο Αθανάσιο Παπαθανασίου, τον Αντισυνταγματάρχη Πεζικού κύριο Θεόδωρο Κιναλή, την Ταγματάρχη Πεζικού κυρία Μαριάννα Ακρίδα, τους στρατιωτικούς που εκτελούν τη θητεία τους και όλο το προσωπικό του μουσείου για την εξαιρετική φιλοξενία και υποστήριξή τους. Επίσης θα θέλαμε να κάνουμε ειδική μνεία στις εξαιρετικές εγκαταστάσεις του μουσείου και τον περιβάλλοντα χώρο.

​

Ιδιαίτερες ευχαριστίες απευθύνονται στο Ερευνητικό Πανεπιστημιακό Ινστιτούτο (Ε.Π.Ι.) του Πανεπιστημίου Μακεδονίας και στην κυρία Δάφνη Κουκούτση για την πολύτιμη υποστήριξή της. Επίσης, ευχαριστούμε τις Πρυτανικές αρχές το Τμήμα Διεθνών και Δημοσίων Σχέσεων, καθώς και το Τμήμα Τεχνικής Υποστήριξης του ΚΥΔ, με ειδική αναφορά στους κυρίους Λάζαρο Σερεμετίδη και Στάθη Τσακίδη για την εξαιρετική τεχνική υποστήριξη τους καθ’ όλη τη διάρκεια του συνεδρίου.

Θα θέλαμε να ευχαριστήσουμε επίσης την Επιτροπή Ερευνών του ΠΑΜΑΚ για την οικονομική ενίσχυση του συνεδρίου καθώς και τις Εκδόσεις Gutenberg για την χορηγία τους. Επίσης τον Δήμο Θεσσαλονίκης για την παροχή έντυπου υλικού και το Τμήμα Οικονομικών Επιστημών για την διοικητική στήριξη του συνεδρίου.

Οι συνεργάτες μας που βοήθησαν στην διοργάνωση, η Δέσποινα Γκαβρέση, ο Δημήτρης Ζηκόπουλος, ο Γιάννης Ηλιάδης, η Φιλιώ Μουτζίκη, ο Ακύλας Μυτιληναίος, ο Γιάννης Πατιός αξίζουν θερμές ευχαριστίες για την αφοσίωση και την ενεργή συμμετοχή τους.

Ευχαριστούμε τέλος την ASREC Association και τον Charles Martinez για την εξαιρετική συνεργασία, τον καθηγητή Laurence Iannaccone, διευθυντή του Ινστιτούτου, που μας τίμησε με την παρουσία του, καθώς και τους καταξιωμένους κεντρικούς ομιλητές Jörg Baten (University of Tübingen) και Romain Wacziarg (UCLA Anderson School of Management).

Τέλος, ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ απευθύνεται σε όλους/όλες τους/τις παρευρισκόμενους/ες και συμμετέχοντες που παρευρέθηκαν συμβάλλοντας στις ενδιαφέρουσες συζητήσεις και παρουσιάσεις κατά τη διάρκεια του συνεδρίου.
